CYP ARTS NETWORK
CYP Arts Network aims to provide schools, learning providers and anyone other potential commissioner of art activities for children and young people, a direct link to experienced artists and practitioners with a specific interest of working with children and young people in order to nuture and inspire creativity for future generations.
The arts and creative practices can provide a useful tool in delivering a variety of agendas and priorities such as school improvement and positive activities for children and young people. Artistic and creative experiences can be used to address a wide range of issues such as personal and social as well as being providing enrichment for gifted and talented children.
CYP Arts Network aims to..
- Provide schools and other organisations links to freelance artists and practitioners specialisng in a variety of art forms
- Increase awareness on a national level about art provision offer for children & young people
- Promote and maintain the safeguarding of children and young people in art activity provision
- Increase children and young people's accessibility to high quality art provision
- Provide artists working with children and young people a network and an opportunity to showcase and promote their work and activity.
The Arts Directory lists independant freelance creative practitioners, artists and organisations offering art provision for children and young people in all art disciplines. All practitioners listed hold DBS checks and full public liability insurance.

Please be aware, that all artists and art practitioners within the arts directory are independant of CYP Arts and have paid a fee to be listed on the site and although vetted with our 'traffic light system' they are not endorsed or DBS checked by CYP Arts unless otherwise stated.

Claire trained as a sculptor in traditional and non traditional sculpture techniques, she has worked with ArtBugs on a freelance basis delivering sculpture workshops at the ArtBug Studio

Hip Hop kultural preservationist, educator and self taught Artist who specialises in Sculpture, digital design, illustration and fine arts across the spectrum. with over 15 years in the field of education. Monks experience in design, illustration and print is extensive with a vast array of clientele.
Leigh is an established graphic artist and musician with over 20 years experience in the creative arts industry he has designed album sleeves logos ﬂyers tattoos and merchandise for many acts in the music industry today as well as producing writing and co-writing lyrics for some of the biggest names and lables here in the uk
Kimberley Barlow ****
Kimberley is a creative practitioner specialising in the Early Years Sector and was involved with the development ArtBugs preschooler and parties.

To help you find suitable practitioners we use a green traffic light system to show artists relevant training, and vetting.

Please be aware, that all artists and art practitioners within the arts directory are independant of CYP Arts and have paid a fee to be listed on the site and although vetted with our 'traffic light system' they are not endorsed or DBS checked by CYP Arts. We recommend ensuring the following checks are made before recruitment;
- Qualification in the arts/education sectors
- Appropriate level of experience and training including safeguarding
- Full recent enhanced enhanced DBS clearance
- Appropriate Public Liability Insurance (minimum of £5000000)
- Two Current references for working with children and young people
It is also good practice to ensure sufficient planning, delivery and evaluation is built into any project.
